Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the greatest athletes. Biles was the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the sole gymnast who won four gold medals in one Games at the 2016 Olympics. She is also the first person to win three consecutive world championships. Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone began to take the sport of gymnastics seriously as an infant during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the following eleven years. Biles was awarded a silver medal in vault in 2010 and a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to elite-level competitions in the year 2011. She dominated her sport just two years later. Biles stood out for her constant performance her enthusiasm and level of difficulty that she included throughout each competition--vault bar, uneven bars, balance beam and ground exercise.
