Kari Wuhrer was born on April 28th the 28th of April, 1967. She is an American actor and singer. Wuhrer started her career when she was just a teen. She is best known for her role as Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders, as well as her role as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the thriller-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born in Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble and worked as a pay clerk and German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her siblings include three. She began singing in clubs as a teenager, and was known to sneak away from her house to sing. After attending the Wooster School at the age of thirteen, she began studying drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous instructor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. She was a Brookfield native birthed in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April 1967. She is the daughter an American-born father from Germany and a German-American mother. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. As a teenager performing in nightclubs, she was able to make a name for herself in secret, escaping to perform. Kari began studying acting when she was 13. Her next stage of study was acting at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and along with Uta Hagen who was a famous teacher. Kari was first introduced to acting when she was 13 and got her first big break in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
