Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan is a famous American musician and singer. She is also referred to by her infamous nickname, The Queen of Funk. Through her nearly fifty years of career Chaka Khan has received a total of 10 Grammys. Billboard listed her as the 65th most accomplished dancer ever. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at an early age by her mother. At the beginning of her career, she was a member of various groups. In the end, she was a part of the group Rufus. She released her first album with the band at the age 20. The group received their first Grammy award the following year. The singer released her debut self-titled album just a couple of years following her debut solo album. As time passed, she issued a series of albums, including "Echoes of an Era," The Woman I Am as well as Funk This. Apart from her musical contributions, her charitable work has garnered her a great deal of praise. Chaka Khan Foundation, which she established in order to help children and adults with Autism as well as poor families. Khan has also been occasionally an actress. She was the character the character Sister Carrie on stage in musical "Mama I'm a Singing Lady.'
